Why Does My Lower Back Pain Keep Coming Back?

casual man with back painWhen you have lower back pain, you may think it will go away on its own. But unfortunately, this is often not the case. Your discomfort will likely return again and again until you do something to address the cause of your problem.

What Are Some Causes?

Pain in the lumbar region can be caused by many factors. For example, it may be due to joint restrictions/blockages or poor postures that can’t support your back properly. Alternatively, conditions like arthritis can also lead to chronic lower back discomfort.

Pain in the lumbar region can also be due to a spinal joint restriction that causes muscular spasms. The strain may be from sleeping in an awkward position, sitting in a chair all day that doesn’t provide proper lumbar support, lifting something the wrong way, etc.

Many people try to manage their lower back discomfort with ice, medication, etc. Often, short term treatments not adressing the true cause, then pain comes back.

How Chiropractic May Help

Our chiropractors use various manual techniques to correct any restrictions of the spine. Chiropractic adjustments can reduce nerve irritation, improve function, and restore the full range of motion to the back.
